About Reconciliation Mission Gathering

This gathering is a part of Reformed Church (Gereformeerde Kerk) Stellenbosch, an English speaking, international gathering. It is a result of reconciliation between God and men, and between men and men as well.

  1. Its Biblical Base : 2nd Corinthian 5:18, 19

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation”. (NIV)

  1. Its purpose:

2.1 Evangelism: To evangelize the young generation including the inter- national students

2.2 Discipleship: To train the believers to be the matured disciples and witnesses of Christ

2.3 Worship: Worship is the privilege of human beings. Through worship we can get God’s encouragement, comport and directions.

2.4 Fellowship: To share our blessings and experiences with each other. We can grow spiritually through this fellowship. We call small group for fellowship “ecclesiola”, it means, “little church”.

2.5 Missions: To go out to serve our neighbors and God. All Christians are witnesses and missionaries sent from God and Christ. We will contribute the half (50%) of gathering’s finance to the missions.

  1. Our Meetings
    • Lord’s day (=Sunday) Service: On every Lord’s day 12:00~13:30

We believe that Lord’s day (Rev. 1:10) is the new Sabbath-day in the New Testament age. We will gather together to worship God on that day. Worship service consists of the praise, the Biblical message, mutual greetings and prayer. The offerings are freely offered to God.

  • Fellowship Time: After worship service

We will have “agape”, it means, “meal of love”, and fellowship time with mutual prayer.

  • Bible and Mission Academy: On every Wednesday

We are preparing to have Bible and Mission Academy to help members to know Bible better and to be well equipped as witnesses and lay missionaries of Christ.

  • Ecclesiola: We will have small group gatherings. Small group     gathering is like a cell within a body, or ‘n part of the body within the rest of the body. This is the place were members can minister to one another as well as reaching out as ‘n small group to reach unreached people

3.5 Mission Outreach: We will regularly go out to spread Gospel and serve people in need. Mission outreach is the very important purpose of this gathering.
